What does it mean to be human?

We are all part of the human race...

We eat...

We breath...

We live...

But so does a chimpanzee...

So what makes us different?

What sperates us from every other mammal on the planet?

Is it a sense of self?  That I know who I am?

A thinking, interactive human being?

The famous French philospher Renez Descartes famously suggested

"I think therefore I am."

Is that what makes us unique?  Our ability to think?

If that is the case do we exist because we have the ability to think

that we exist?

Many people believe religious and not, that the human race has a

special place in the world.

But what does it mean to be human and is it possible to lose our

humanity?

But how did the homeless of London feel about the work Joshua is doing?

They said...

"Thank you for my bit of happiness."

His actions raise an interesting question?

How do we value human life?

What makes us human?

So why is Joshua working the streets of london?
"I want to inspire others through social

          media to do good things".

When you get home check out his campaign,

or have a look at his instagram showing all the homeless people he has helped.

Meet Joshua Coombes,

Everybody knows a good haircut can transform your face, but for someone living on the street, a good haircut can make you feel like a new person as well as change people's perception of you immediately.

This is not your usual hairdresser.

         Joshua doesn't charge his clients.

And he works on the streets.

         The hairdresser for the homeless.

"Walking past homeless guys and giving them some pocket change didn't accomplish that much for me anymore, I was looking for a way to connect with people."

Joshua Coombes

"It just happened one day. I had all my gear on me and I was walking past somebody who was homeless and it went from there, really. It was a light-bulb moment in my head and I was like − this is an amazing way to connect with people."
